And so this con season has begun...

As per usual in each July San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) is thrust upon us.  What this particular season gives is always bountiful, Hasbro usually show product that has just been released and product that is coming up.  Lego usually show their summer wave which has either hit stores or is just about to hit stores, amongst other suppliers showing their wares Gentle Giant and Sideshow collectibles always have some pretty amazing product to display.

As this post is the first for a while I thought I'd show some images that I've sourced with what is coming out over the next few weeks with some other cool Star Wars related objects...

Hasbro:

Yodasnews have posted some images of the upcoming rebels and saga legends figures. looking at the images I'd say that they are still the 5 points of articulation while the rebels figures appear in the animated style from the Clone Wars series:

Images sourced on yodasnews.com and can be found here

Lego:

As per the norm with Lego ®  they will be having a panel at SDCC discussing their Star Wars, Hobbit, Chima, Marvel and other associated licenses.  This year Lego have the Ghost as a mini set Star Wars exclusive.  The set comprises a chibi orientated ship with the minifgure for the character Chopper.

This set has been doing the rounds rather frequently today, yahoo have placed a picture of it up on their website while Eurobricks.com also has an image showing the set.

Other news:

Starwars.com is showing a copy of one of the first publications that Marvel comics will distribute when it regains the Star Wars license.

For those who thought that Star Wars was with Darkhorse comics you were correct, however Marvel is owned by Disney and as such when the contract with Darkhorse expired it was going back to Marvel (originally Star Wars comics were produced by Marvel) as they are owned by Disney.

Marvel are releasing their original comics in Omnibus form, the first omnibus (shown below) will be some 888 pages at a cost of approximately $130.

As you can see this forms part of the legends line which is the new designation that Lucasfilm have associated to the previously titled "Expanded Universe" EU for short.

Stay tuned over the next week or two as I post some info relating to Episode 7 and the upcoming information from SDCC 2014...
